Trouble logging in with Internet Explorer

In 2015, Microsoft Edge replaced Internet Explorer as the default browser on Windows 10. In the last 4 years, Internet Explorer (IE) has not received any major updates, nor does it support many of the new web standards. When compared to other modern web browsers like Chrome, FireFox, Safari or Edge, the user experience is extremely degraded in terms of performance, accessibility, and security.

In order for Zur Institute to continue delivering high-quality software and grow with modern web standards, we are ending support for Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE11) browser on January 31, 2020. If you are currently using IE as your primary browser, we recommend switching to one of our supported browsers: Chrome, FireFox, Edge, or Safari. 

What does this mean?

After January 31, 2020, Zur Institute will no longer be ensuring that all features and functionality work in Internet Explorer. While certain functionality may continue to work for some time, new features and development will not be compatible in IE. Any bugs or cosmetic issues related to IE will no longer be addressed. 

Why are we making this decision?

Zur Institute is committed to providing the best solution available for managing and deploying continuing education activities via the cloud, which means staying up-to-date with the most current web standards and practices. Unfortunately, Internet Explorer is an out-dated browser that can hold back development for platform improvements and new features.

Recently, many other online companies have also decided to stop supporting IE. Even Microsoft themselves announced they do not recommend using Internet Explorer as a default browser.

What do I need to do if I currently use Internet Explorer?

Before January 31, 2020, we recommend switching to one of our supported browsers: Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
